Your Reception
If you are looking for an impressive venue for your wedding reception and wedding breakfast, Cathedral Quarter Hotel in Derby is sure to not disappoint.
Suitable for up to 100 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 120 evening reception guests, you couldn’t ask for a more impressive room than Opulence for your wedding breakfast in Derby. From the honey warmth of the wood-paneled walls, the intricate detail of the corniced ceiling, to the unique feature windows, it is a stunning room that blends the striking glass chandeliers with the boldly patterned wallpaper to create a stunning backdrop to your big day.
For a more intimate wedding reception, Galleries is a beautiful room suitable for up to 20 guests. Let our Chefs wow your guests for a delicious wedding breakfast menu as you relax in this room flooded with natural daylight.
Our grand reception hall offers the perfect space to hold your drinks reception and for your wedding photographs. Derby’s most majestic staircase with original stained glass windows takes centre stage and overlooks regal Scaglioli pillars and ornate mosaic floor. The bar and lounge area are both accessed from here so guests can mingle freely or find a quiet corner to catch up with relatives and friends.
We can also help with some of the finer details, such as theming, flowers, entertainment, and photographers. Just ask our wedding coordinator for ideas and suggestions.
Your Ceremony
If you are looking for a unique venue for your wedding ceremony in Derby, Cathedral Quarter Hotel is the ideal choice. The boutique hotel offers two beautiful rooms which are licensed for civil ceremonies.
Our main function room Opulence is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and is a beautiful room to exchange your vows in. Seating up to 100 guests, it’s the perfect choice for larger weddings. For intimate ceremonies, Galleries is a beautiful room complete with its own original fireplace which can hold up to 25 guests for civil ceremonies.
